On your first visit we do a very comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluation and we also examine what you eat, how much sleep you get and your exercising habits. If you have x-rays, MRIs etc then you should bring these with you along with all the associated reports. This first visit often lasts 2-3 hours as there is a lot to be done.
Once all this information has been gathered we'll design a program to achieve the goals that you have set and sort out the problems you are having.
Most of our clients need a mixture of manual therapy, stretching and strengthening exercises. These techniques will be taught to you during weekly follow up visits. Bring a phone or tablet to these follow up sessions as we will video the stretches and exercises that you need to do.
If you have come to see us for sports specific training e.g. golf, baseball, running, cycling or triathlon you can expect to spend quite a lot of time learning how to stretch and what to stretch. Next comes stability and strength training. Once you have built a good foundation we can move to power training i.e. the expression of strength QUICKLY.
